Where to live in Suffolk?
If you could live in one town in Suffolk County(money not being an issue) what would it be? I like Mattituck. It's close to the water, close enough to the Tanger outlets for shopping, also Orient Point ferry, and if we decided to hit the hamptons it's not too far either and good schools as well.

Dix Hills in one of the one-acre-zoned areas, preferably the Caledonia Section. Convenient to the LIE, Northern State, and Sagtikos, making just as easy to get to Nassau as to go further east in Suffolk; nice upscale residential without the snobbishness of the Gold Coast communities; no hurricane flood risk; and the large lots afford privacy without having to be "out in the boonies" to get it. But the main thing for me would be the convenience to all points west, north, south and east.

I love it here in Rocky Point.
If money were no object and I could be Waterfront in the Terraces, I'd just stay put.
Other towns in Suffolk I'd consider are South Jamesport, Remsenberg, Stony Brook Village, Shoreham Village and Mattituck too.

Ill give Dix Hills kudos on convenience, Babylon too.
For Eastern LI Manorville would also fit that bill.
Like Dix Hills, you can get anywhere pretty damn quick when your view is the LIE service rd.

now that the Hamptons will be less crowded with meathead stockbrokers & their skanky girlfriends in bright colored sports cars, I'd love a place in Mecox or North Sea.
I really love Mattituck too.
I'd hate to give up the lake though, so if money were really no object I'd buy all the the houses that surround mine & make it all on huge yard.

Northport Village, on the water, Nissequogue/Head of the Harbor, or Stony Brook Village. Since money is no object I would be car serviced everywhere anyways...so who cares how close I am to the LIE, airports, etc...
Ahhhh, to dream.

My picks exactly. I love the hills and winding roads up there.
