Default Lindenhurst vs. North Lindenhurst

We're looking at houses in Lindenhurst and North Lindenhurst. Which town has more diversity? Any insight is appreciated...thank you!

It's a nice area of Long Island. Pretty affordable and great people live in both areas. The rule for the South Shore is that the farther south you go the more upscale the area. South of Montauk Hwy is usually the nicest area.

North Lindenhurst is more gritty than the village... kind of industrial looking.

The Village of Lindenhurst is, as previous poster stated, pretty much white/blue collar. North Lindenhurst has more of a mix of people.
