Jitney buses for connections
I forget if there's still the Hub bus (wasn't/aren't there two?) that leaves Roosevelt Field and service hard to reach nearby areas, but there needs to be other buses like that for semi main streets where there aren't much transportation like Brush Hollow Road. I shop at Associates in Westbury on Old Country Road and take advantage of the free pick up and drop off and the other day the van was crusing down Westbury Avenue (Carle Place to Mineola) and it's amazing the small shops that are around. I'm not familiar with Suffolk Co, but I bet there are quite a few strips where a small bus could travel like every hour.
