I've heard West Babylon schools are pretty good, better than the surrounding towns like Lindenhurst and North Babylon. The high school is suppose to be excellent. West Babylon doesn't have a village, but there is lots of shopping close by and many supermarkets to choose from.

Lindenhurst High school is nicknamed heroin high!

North of SSP is on the edge of Wyandanch.

West Babylon, has all kinds of people, it USED to be mostly Italians, but its pretty mixed now

I live in Lindy and go to a lot of the fairs and HS fundraisers and stuff they hold in town... I've never seen anything more than normal blue collar type skater kids. While I don't consider Lindy to be a schamncy area, it's not really a drug den or anything. The snotty Westchester HS I went to seemed to have more problems with drugs.
