Default plainview

I need information on transportation from Plainview, LI to Manhattan. We are talking a bus from Indianapolis to Plainview for the weekend and I wanted to view the city for at least a day. So how long does it take to get there and what are some ways to get there besides the LIE?

Get a cab/ride to Hicksville station. Train ride to Penn is about 45 mins. Much easier than driving in Manhattan, that's for sure!

Trains run about one every forty minutes in Hicksville when its off peak. When its peak there are more trains. Only time the schedule gets a little funky is after 1am

You would need to take the Train from Penn Station in Manhattan and get on the train that stops at Hicksville (approx 45 minutes) Then at Hicksville you take a Bus to Plainview (I think N47 im not exactly too sure of the route number) and there are 2 or 3 stops in Plainview
