What can you tell me about Copiague?
I know nothing about the town aside from it's location. Can you give me your own experiences and opinions of the schools, kind of people who live there, etc?
thanks!

Schools are rough.
Have you considered Lindenhurst?

Copaigue is a dump honestly with the exception of Copaigue Harbor. As Crooks said look at Lindenhurst or Babylon.

I don't recommend Copiague if you have kids. Their schools are rated bad. The only nice area of Copiague is south of Montauk Highway.

For those who may not be familiar with Copiague
For those who may not be familiar with Copiague:
Copiague is a hamlet (an unincorporated area) in the southwest part of the Town of Babylon, in the southwest part of Suffolk County.
Beginning on the north and moving in a clockwise direction, the Hamlet of Copiague in the Town of Babylon is bordered on the north by the Hamlet of North Amityville; on the east by the Village of Lindenhurst; on the south by the Great South Bay; and, on the west by the Village of Amityville.
The Hamlet of Copiague has a different border than does the "Copiague, NY 11726" postal zone (i.e., a place can have other than a "Copiague, NY 11726" mailing address and be in the Hamlet of Copiague): there are places in the Hamlet of Copiague with an "Amityville, NY 11701" mailing address.
For a good set of town-by-town maps showing all the villages and hamlets in each of LI's 13 towns (3 in Nassau County and 10 in Suffolk County): http://www.city-data.com/forum/long-...-resource.html

Copaigue is not a place to raise kids. Oak St is almost all MS-13. Lindenhurst is better, but not by much.

Copiague is a hamlet between the villages of Amityville and Lindenhurst. It is multi-ethnic in nature but middle class and still has a large white population from what I can see. Most of the houses look well cared for and I know at least two families there (both near the station) who seem to be happy. Some people also will like being near the water, including the recently redone Tanner Park. However personally, I like nearby Lindenhurst, Massapequa or Farmingdale even better.

Thats accurate.
It has a strong Polish community like Riverhead.
I think part of North Amityville goes to that district.
