OB-Gyn referral + question on Fluoride in water (Hempstead, Plainview: how much, tax)

hello,

We are looking for a good ob-gyn in levittown/westbury/plainview/garden city/hempstead/hicksville area. We have moved to LI 5-6 months back and my wife still doesnt have a ob-gyn. She just needs one for her annual routine examinations.Any recommendations/referrals would be extremely useful for us.

My daughter's pedi mentioned that LI tap water doesnt have Fluoride.(Seems LI had voted off not having Fl in water a long time back).Is this info correct? Since there is no fl in water pedis here prescribe Fl supplements for infants after 6 months.Just wanted to make sure this info is correct before I give her anything.Your input would be very important and useful.

turns out true about fluoride. we were here for over 4 months before we heard about the no fluoride thing. the child gets an rx from the ped. as a multivitamin plus fluoride. they're supposed to taste great. they don't but oh well.

I have an OBGYN located in Bethpage on Hempstead Turnpike. His name Dr. Anthansios Antoniadis. We call him Dr. A for short. This is his phone number 631 376-1010. He works out of Suffolk County as well and that's the office that books his appointments. I was referred to him by 3 of my girlfriends and I just love him. Good luck.

Also, a great one is Dr. Timothy Brown on Ocean Ave in Farmingdale/N. Massapequa area. He is the top Dr listed at Plainview Hosp. I believe his number is 799-4500. I don't use him anymore because I moved out of state, but used him for 12 years. He delivered all of my children and I found him from referrals from different people. His office staff is really friendly and there is not usually much of a wait. Good Luck.

This no fluoride thing is shocking to me. Is this just in Naasau or doesnt Suffolk Co add it either?

Dr. Paul Byrne is the BEST. Office in Garden City right by Roosevelt Field.

No Fl in the water in Nassau or Suffolk (I'm a pediatric dentist and the no Fl will keep me in business no matter what the economy is doing!). It really is a shame. If you all knew how much of your tax money is paying to fix cavities, you'd be shocked!
