Must be a geography thing. You would expect a diner thats called the airport diner to be the one right by it, but it's not.

I used to work at Brookhaven Lab and often found myself leaving the lab after darkness fell and in no mood to fix dinner. So I usually found myself at either the Coram Pond Dinner, the Rocky Point Dinner or The Windmill Dinner (Shirley). You don't know what You've got till its gone. We don't have this type of eatery in the suburbs of Washington DC. There are two things you do well on the Island--- Greek Dinner fare and Kosher deli meats.

Tried Mount Sinai heritage diner.Service and food was good.someone posted that the heritage diner was way over-priced and you have to pay for extras but seaport Diner is overpriced and the reason we don't go there anymore is because we were charged extra for everything where everywhere else they are willing to make substitutions.Friday and Saturday nights are always busy at the Heritage diner so that says something.Rocky Point Diner is my second favorite now

SeaPort lost us a ways back.
We alternate between Heritage and Rocky Point too.

I've always like the Mt. Sinai Heritage diner. They have a good veggie burger - not one of those nasty soy patty things many of the other diners have.

Best diner? Surely that must be a joke right? Ill take White Castle or McDonalds before I even consider a diner. Diner food is almost universally inedible and overpriced.
