Can someone recommend their CPA- tax prep?
I'm looking for an accountant to re-do my tax filings- i'm using turbo tax, but it's telling me i owe thousands!!!
Any CPA's in Nassau County?
Thanks!

I do my own.
What makes you think Turbo Tax is incorrect?

it just doesn't make sense that last year, we (hubs & i) made the same $ but filed single and got money back. this year we are married, and owe thousands? it just doesn't make sense

This year did both of you switch your tax status with your employer to "Married" or "Married but Withhold at Single Rate?" That can make a difference ... maybe not thousands though, although your tax bracket probably changed too (as now it is depending on your total income as a married couple).

our tax status is married with our employers. i suppose our tax bracket changed now that its combined, but even when we tried filing separately on turbo tax, we still owed thousands.

If you file as "married filing separately" you will pay even more.
