We looked at two condos in Artist Lake about 5 years ago before we bought the condo we live in now in Yaphank. Not a very nice developement......yes the outsides look pretty nice, but the inside are soooooo small and they lie in the listings saying they are two bedrooms! What they really did is make the dining rooms a bedroom.....LOL There was no wall seperating it like a bedroom should and no closet! Aslo there was water damage issues and cat pee problems in the two we looked at. Unbelievable! and what's up with the shady part in the back of the development.....

My poor neighbor had a really bad cesspool clog the other day and it cost him thousands of dollars and he had crews working until 11pm at night destroying his front yard.

I'm just not really for all that crap (no pun intended ).
Just a quick FYI. You will have to take care of electrical, plumbing and any other problems WITHIN YOUR APARTMENT. That does not come as a freebie with the maintenance. (If you want the super to repair anything within your apartment, you will have to hire him separately.)

No, I know, but my hubbie is a GC so he has a sub for everything. Any minor problem we have within the apt can be taken care of asap. We just have so much we want to see and do in the next 3-5 years, and we are sick up throwing away our money renting, but we are not ready for our own home; it is just too much of a committment for us right now.

Including the tennis court that is filled with broken glass, graffiti, looks like drug deals go down there? This is a place filled with crime and low lifes. You happen to be lucky if you love it. I found it to be pretty low class when I was there.
