Default Landscaping costs

I am new Home owner, and I am looking for estimates of Landscaping costs.

I have a tree in my front yard which needs pruning once every 2 years, and a avg size yard ( 80x100) for the neighborhood ( Jericho/Westbury). There are some bushes and evergreen 8 ft high plants. My landscaper is quoting me 2000$ for an annual maintenance contract. Otherwise, its 30$ for lawn mowing/cleanup once a week ( for 30 weeks from April to Dec), 150$ for Spring cleanup, and 500$ for pruning the tree, and 200$ for a row of evergreens.

This appears a little high to me, so I wanted to get the input of the community.

Sounds a little high to me. My past landscaper I was paying $1350 for the season including spring/fall clean up, weekly cut etc...
I live in Merrick. This year, I priced around and have a place doing it for about $1,000 for the season...no chemicals being used. So far so good.

Also, my trees get pruned and I don't get charged extra. It's all included in the price for the season.

You should get a few quotes from other companies to compare and give you peace of mind.
