Project Code Name "Finder Keepers" (help me find a home!)
So, it looks like I may have an offer on my place in the next day or two... SO, now I am even more seriously looking for a home. Location (school system?) is very important to me as is obviously the price. I know alot of people here use MLSLI.com and such, so I thought I would just put an add out there that if you know of a home that is priced at about $250,000ish and taxes maxed at about $7,000ish and fits these basic needs to please either reply here with a MLSLI number or private message me if you dont want everyone else to see it.
I currently work in the town of Babylon, and would not have a problem driving 40 minutes... (more or less, depending on the home of course)
I know it is off the beat and path... as i have found two winners so far, but one was sold very quickly (as i was not ready to pounce on it) and the other was actually mis-priced on MLS (at least i knew a good deal when i saw one).
All help is always GREATLY appreciated!!!
(Perfect world, cause i know some people are going to want even more information...)
We would love (all or some) the following features (in no order)
1. Two story Home
2. Full unfinished basement
3. House NOT on a main road
4. Some property (cant be too much, but hoping for some space).
5. Pools are ok, not a must... but not a problem
6. 1.5 bathrooms or more is great
7. 3 or more bedrooms
8. EIK
9. Gas for the kitchen stove (without going with LP)

its not, Huron is in Comsewogue. I grew up in that area & had a childhood friend on that street. Not my favorite part of PJS.
To the OP a couple of the things on your list make it a stretch IMO to find a house that isn't totally trashed. If you could become flexible on the natural gas requirement, Ridge would be a great choice for you.

I am flexible in everything. I understand that to get everything on my wish list it would cost too much. With that said, perhaps i could shoot for half? I am totally flexible, as every house / situation will have pros and cons.

Put the wish list in order of importance. There's flexibility, but sometimes there are one or two things that are far more important than others. For me, house NOT on a busy road would be in the top 2.

My current realtor is very good (seems like it so far at least)... but the bottum line is I have to live with my choices, so I want to be in control. Any help she will give me (and im sure she will) will be greatly appreciated... but it will only be help... I will be in control this time.
