Default Interview with Co-op board: What should I expect?

Hey all,

I recently purchased a co-op and I have my interview with the board on Monday. My questions are:

1. What should I wear? Should I wear a suit or is that too much?

2. What kind of questions will they ask me? What exactly are they looking to find out from me?

Thanks guys!

Dress casual. Golf shirt or white shirt with slacks are fine. (assuming this is not a million dollar condo/co-op).

The questions depend on the co-op and how serious they take it. Generally speaking, there is VERY little chance they will not accept you in todays market. As long as you can afford the place (and now with the mortages tightening up, it is safe to say you can) they would rather have you purchase it as oppose to it possibly becoming an empty unit.

Personally, I would attempt to take the opportunity to speak with them about the property. They are the "heads" of the complex, so getting to know their thoughts and feelings might be a good thing.

It will not be a big deal. Take a deep breath and get to know your knew neighbors!
