Default Parking at JFK?

I travel for business and use a car service to the local airports. This weekend i'm traveling on my dime and really don't want to pay $250 round trip for a town car.
How is parking at JFK Delta terminal?
I know they are doing a ton of construction.

There is long term parking and short term parking. Long term parking is somewhere around $10 per day....short term is much more. Long term parking is literally MILES from the terminals..you have to take the air train to the terminals, which isn't too bad, but it adds another 20 minutes or so to the saga, and you car sits in the middle of nowhere for days.

Thanks. I may park in short term. I figure it has to be cheaper than taking a car service all the way from Suffolk.
Is short term walking distance to the terminal?

I just paid (at LGA) $85 for long term. It was $60 for the first 48 hours and then $5 per 8 hours after that. Port Authority is raising the rates June 1.

It looks like JFK is a lot less than LGA

I just used the long term parking at JFK from Friday morning to SUnday night. It cost me $40 (which was cheaper than the $70 for cab service to and from home). The ride from the lot to terminal 6 was only about 10 minutes on the airtrain plus >5 minutes waiting for the train to arrive (and it's for free). I would do it again in a heartbeat (and that was my first time doing it only because the cab I would have taken was backed up and might have made me miss my plane).
