With just a few exceptions, the "Markets" forecast to decrease the most were the same that increased the most during the boom. It's matter of basic math and common sense, IMO.

One thing to remember here, is that this is a FORECAST--not all forecasts become reality.

A perfect storm happened. Young ppl have been fleeing the Island for a while now due to cost of living, weather or whatever else and now you have the economy in the sewer and the Island continues to be way too expensive, in fact everything is still going up but ppls salaries.

That's why we left 5 years ago. The longer we would've stayed, the lower our standard of living would become

I have heard that new york/long island has not really seen the worst of it yet (compared to the rest of the country), as it takes a lot longer to foreclose here.

I am trying to refinance and my home value dropped by 10%.
It is causing big problems in refincance process.

In the commercial cul de sac where the company I work for is located, there are 4 empty buildings with for sale or rent signs on them. The most vacancies Ive ever seen.
