The best bar in Port Jefferson
FYI to all you people thinging about moving to LI (North folk). There is a bar called "Tara Inn" the the right side of Main Street as you head toward the harbor you have to check out. It's a little hole in the wall but the food is suprisingly good and affordable. Have fun!

LOL . . . the lobster is the reason I went there (the drinks are good too) do they still have the tickets where you can get a drink for full price, half price or 10¢? Great, now I'm homesick :-(

A favorite restaurant of mine that was in Greenport the last few years has relocated to Port Jeff. It is called The Fifth Season. The chef worked in the city and the Hamptons for a number of years and subscribes to the slow food movement - which is important to me. I am looking forward to checking them out this summer - I think they open next week.

go all the way to the end of main st. and make a left onto west broadway and look on the right. It used to be the James bay brewery (upstairs). It has been Il Miradoro an italian place for at least 5 years------VERY GOOD!
