Well yes and no. That lot, as full of potholes as it is, still gets packed, but short term, its going to create headaches for current commuters.
So for those who park there, plan on leaving a few minutes earlier from your home.
Oh yeah and as of May 18th, there is a new schedule with come cuts in service and according to the Newsday article, Ronkonkoma line is affected, though not sure how. So be sure to check it out.

According to their website "Main Line (including Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson, Oyster Bay and Montauk trains): One of two tracks will be out of service midday weekdays for renewal work on the Covert Avenue grade crossing in New Hyde Park. Affected trains will operate up to 13 minutes later."

There is always that high speed train that runs from Montauk to the city underneath the LIE.
That is a conspiracy theory, never been proved.

Ronkonkoma parking on the North side is a joke.... if you get there after 6 am you have to park almost at the central islip station, ok, I'm exaggerating ! but it a pretty long walk to the station. You don't even have the parking spaces marked, its like a dead zone with weeds growing all over the place and cars parked like crazy.... and usually if you park that far, it means that you are going to return late in the evening... can we atleast get some lighting over there ... jeez !!

Oh ok. The Medford station is on the same line as the Ronkonkoma line. What they're saying is that they would like more trains at that station but that may bring more traffic to that area. That area already has a lot of traffic.
