$ Cesspool cost $
How much is the average cost to service a cesspool such as pumping it, etc. How about a cost of fixing it if something would ever happen? (I come from PA and in PA we don't have cesspools or septic tanks. Sewer as far as I know. lol)

I believe it cost me about $300 to have my cesspool pumped and aerated. I used S.O.S. Cesspool and Drain Service, based out of Port Jefferson. I thought they did a good job and they came out quickly (on a holiday no less).

I got quotes from a few places in Rocky Point to the tune of $350-450 for pumping and aerating. So far we have not pulled the trigger.

That is one thing that sucks about Suffolk County. Yuck. Who wants a filthy wastepool right under your yard? I wouldn't even want to plant vegetables or have a pool there. Big time taxes just like Nassau, but at least the vast majority of Nassau provides sewers.

We pay about $350 but it needs to be done twice a year due to our high water table! Which sucks........

Paid I think 450 for pump/aerate (2 pools). Whoever you call, make sure they bring a pump truck. Don't use anyone who says they don't need to pump the pool.

I wholeheartedly agree with Arron, I had that done once, just an aerate and chemicals, within a month, I was calling again, definitely need to pump it out!

What about if you need it replaced? Convert from an old type cesspool to a newer one. (With rings n the new stuff)

We don't even have that option as the place where it is, won't fit a regular pre-cast one, so we have one man made one and two smaller overfill ones!
