I was in PJ this weekend. It's as bad as ever with the ridiculous noise. My 3 year old son asked me why it has to be so loud..I told him it's because people are compensating for their inadequacies.
The town really needs to crush these knuckle heads with fines.

I was there too eating my chili. You think I was loud? Wait until I eat two bowls of chili.

and their laughing at you in your abercrombie shirt and Bermuda shorts in your open toe sandals skipping down the street with your wife and kids scowling at them.
Its all about lifestyle.. to each their own.
I have to say though the bikes are you of control! If you go down to Jones Beach you will see one every 1.2 seconds. Very loud, lots of noise pollution.

Dman doesn't appear to me to be an A&F wearing kind of guy.

I've never even been inside an Abercrombie store. That was the snoots sitting next to me at the Upper Deck. I was wearing sandals, though. I don't care if the bikers want to roll in poop all day and get even fatter than they already are. That's their life. It's about the NOISE. Noise is not a lifestyle, it's a nuisance and an intrusion into other people's space. It's called noise pollution for a reason..it degrades your health.

If I find a shirt by A&F on the rack at Marshalls I might consider it, otherwise, no. I can't see paying for triple marked up Gap, which is basically what A&F is. And what is that smell that wafts out of the mall store?

I think you missed the point. The true biker lifestyle is just different than yours. Aside from the noise, I disagree with your judgement. It puts your head right on the block when you do it.

Noise ordinances do exist - why doesn't the town put a code enforcement cop down there and earn some revenue for the town? I don't go out there frequently (in fact it's rarely) but I can agree that bike noise is a major nuisance.

And whatever stores or bars or whatever these people patronize will lose out on money. In this economy, does ANY local government want to squash income for local businesses? Or ever?

It's a good point, I just wonder if people stay away from PJ due to the noise factor. Remove the bikers and their revenue and replace them with families like Dman's might prove to be a better business decision for PJ.
