Hi,
We currently live in Detroit,MI.And planning to move to NY,precisely LI area as my hubby got a job in NY,brooklyn area.Can anyone help me with the best apartments in LI area with 2BR,2Bath,Wash/Dryer in the apartment with rent anything below $2000 and with best schools and their cut-off-dates for admission.Also the commute time for penn station from the nearest LIRR.Hope to get a good response for my questions.Thanks.

Probably better off renting a house for that much. Most apartment complexes with 2b/2 bath setups are new, and will be over 2,000 a month.

Renting a aprtment/a house will do.but would like to know if there are any available for occupancy immediately.let me know if someone has any info.

Try craigslist Long Island Real estate.

there's no cutoff date for registering your child for school. If you move into a school district, you need to contact your school, show proof of residency, and register. Most district's do their kindy reg in the winter but you can register when you move it.
