Trailer Parks- Suffolk County
Are there any trailer parks in LI? How are they? How do they sell? Are they considered bad if you buy one/live in one (especially on long island)? In Florida they are really popular and maintained. I wondered how they are here in LI. (Looking to relocate.)
Can anyone throw out a few trailer park areas around here so I can search. Location we are looking in is suffolk county... price is negotiable as well. Schools are not important.

Bohemia has 2 off of Church St. Bunker Hill and Valley Forge. Both are well kept; from what I remember, one was more family oriented and the other had more retirees.
There's another one on Lincoln Ave, but that is considered Holbrook. I am not familiar with that park.
Overall, trailer parks aren't popular on LI as they are in FL.
There are trailer parks in Amityville, but some of the surrounding areas are a little sketchy. You might also find them in the Town of Riverhead, too. There's a nice looking one in Calverton named Ramblewood. It's a more rural area, but there's shopping to be had nearby in Wading River and Riverhead.

There are several in Calverton & Riverhead in addition to the others mentioned. There are a few in Hampton Bays & Eastport too.
I have a great Aunt that lives in a really nice senior park off mill road in Riverhead. The homes all look more like houses & the area is really well kept.
I've heard good things about the park off River Road in Calverton, another relative of mine wanted to buy one there & become a snowbird. It has more a a trailer park look, but the people we talked to were all very nice & happy there.
I certainly don't think there is a stigma to it, I think people should be proud of anyplace they can afford to live on LI.

There's a tiny one on Montauk Highway across from Islip High School.

Thanks Crooks -- I am never certain where Wading River ends and Calverton begins. Where's Walter Greenspan when I need him?

theres also some in bay shore right off sunrise highway, behind the honda dealership. ive never been inside there, but they didnt look great, basically looked like what u would expect from a trailer park. same with the amityville ones and some of the riverhead ones. the ones in bohemia are actually pretty decent looking, and some are double wide too. i work a mobile job so ive been past/thru many of these places

What prices are decent for mobile homes? 100k and less or 100k and above? Does it depend on the area?
