Default Anyone know anything about 40-foot poles going up in the Town of Hempstead

Anyone know anything about 40-foot poles, that are adorned with a metal box and an antenna sticking out through the top, going up in the "right-of-ways" in front of homes-- the grassy median separated from a house's lawn by the sidewalk -- in front of houses in Merrick and Franklin Square in the Town of Hempstead?
