None of these are either a village or a hamlet.

It may get the nod, but not as a village or a hamlet.

Of course, whatever they call themselves, they are still using the Valley Stream Post Office.
And, they are still a neighborhood in the Hamlet of South Valley Stream, methinks.

Someday I hope to realize a dream which is shared with my sister, which is for us to have a house somewhere on the North Fork. I've even started looking, just to get an idea. Are they all so incredibly expensive or is there some small place which hasn't been exploited yet? Shelter Island would be high on my list, but it's a hard choice. East Marion, Aquebogue, Greenport.... All so beautiful and all so expensive. If there's a place I should be looking and anyone has a suggestion, my ears are open.

I'd fly in from where I live in Oregon in May and stay through September and possibly October. Meantime, I'll be dreaming and looking.

And, Crooks, what state would Riverhead Twp be in, because there are no Twps in New York State, and, it's my understanding that Suffolk County is still part of New York State?
