Oh well, I looked for a thread on it but was unsuccessful. At least the cretins are cute.
I did wonder how the State of Long Island would feel about having Fire Island in its territory.

The 'G' word has been used to define a stereotype and disparage Italians but now includes non Italians. It's been watered down. The 'N' word might be used by those who have been disparaged by it, but it will never include non AA's. In terms of offensiveness, "N" takes the cake hands down.

I could see NY being split up into 2 states the way things are going. Rockland, Westchester, NYC 5 Boroughs, and Nassau, Suffolk becoming the new New York state. Albany and its depressed upstate area can become Old York state.
Downstate makes NY state what it is, yet up in Albany the disconnect is getting worse and worse. They'd be nothing without us, but they could care less about our issues. Perhaps its time for a change.
