help! I need housing for School (apartment, rent, house)

Hello-
I am a suffolk community college student - my mom needs to move to take care of my grandfather and I want to stay and continue school here on long island. I work part time, have my own car and will attend classes at college.
I need an apartment that is $800 or less and can pay rent and security. I do not want to share, do not want a room in someone's house and am flexible as to the location. Can anyone help or does anyone have something they will rent to a student?

I wound up in an illegal accessory apartment for about that much during school. That's about all you're going to get for that price. I hated doing it but didn't have a choice. If you step up to $1100 to $1200 you might have some hope at a real apartment.
