I think somewhere on the West Coast. Maybe Portland/Seattle because of the lush green.

Queen Anne?
At least, it's situated in the only city, village or hamlet in either county that has the exact same border as the ZIP Code postal zone that "shares" its name: all places that have a "Sea Cliff, NY 11579" mailing address are in the Village of Sea Cliff and all places in the Village of Sea Cliff have a "Sea Cliff, NY 11579" mailing address.

Yup, as far as I'm concerned nothing beats true Victorians in the realm of suburban architecture.
BTW - I am pretty sure there are a handful of homes along Glen Cove's southern border that have a Sea Cliff, NY 11579 mailing address.

For me, it's a toss up between a cape or a ranch. I grew up in an expanded cape.
I currently own a cape. Excellent design for expansion, more so than the ranch.
I do love older colonials though I would probabally never buy one.
I absolutely loathe hi-ranches and any form of the McMansion.
I get a kick out of all the hi-ranches in all the cookie cutter waterfront neighborhoods south of Merrick Road in Nassau, like Massapequa, Merrick, Bellmore, O'side, etc...Big money, fancy decorated homes with zilch for square footage. Those houses are very deceptive, because the wide and high profile makes them appear to be huge, but they are real tight on the inside, and have limited expansion possibilities without making the place look like crap. And for Pete's sake, can we outlaw faux stucco?

Most McMansions are built with the two-story Greatroom these days.
