Default where to go Bowling in Central Nassau?

I have never gone bowling in Long Island. My wife and I want to hire a sitter so we can go out for a *date* and we think just hanging out at a bowling alley for a couple of hours would be fun. I see a lot of lanes in Mineola, Herricks, Syosset etc. Any suggestions on where to go?

I live in GC and I can tell you GC bowl is gross....try Herricks, Sheridan Bowl or even the bowling alley in Melville on 110 is worth the trip.

Thanks. I am actually looking for an alley that is not too crowded ( not completely empty, but I don't want to wait 2 hours just to get a lane with a little one and a sitter waiting at home). I don't mind going to Melville is that makes more sense, its only 8 exits from where I live.

Check out Westbury Bowl, which despite its "Westbury" name, is actually in Jericho ("Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address) at 4000 Brush Hollow Road, tel: 516/333-7444.

The two Levittown bowling alleys are white trash central....but that's what makes them kinda cool.

While Massapequa Bowl & Lounge at 4235 Merrick Road is actually in Massapequa, it ain't in central Nassau, now is it, KENNY GUIDO?
