Default any possibility of sewage system in Suffolk (huntington, melville)

Has anyone heard any talks about implementing sewage system around the town of huntington, meiville, dix hills?

I know that most of nassau has sewage system because of its population.
Now that Suffolk has high population, why are sewage systems not implemented?

I got a quote to get a new septic system installed (5K). I would rather pay that to the town to implement a sewage system (permanent fix)

Any thoughts...

There is actually a small area in Huntington ("Village" - sorry, Walter) that has sewers.
Problems with implementation of a sewage system a la South Shore Sewer District--for one, the cost (it increased RE taxes substantially on the South Shore) and for another, it's NIMBY - tough to get people in the area to agree to have a plant in their "backyard"; it wasn't easy in Babylon at the time...

Not sure how consistent this would be across different location...but I called the town of Brookhaven about plans for sewer lines in Sound Beach...the guy basically laughed at me and said not any time soon. Oh well...
