I hate it growing up b/c my room was so close to my parents' and they could hear everything that was going on...hence, why I didn't bring guys over. Other than that, it's a great beautiful house. Convenient too for those drunken nights.
I like one floor living. I'm never on the other side of the stairs from anything - no carrying laundry up and down stairs, no running down the stairs to check if the doors are locked, etc. Also, it's very conveinient for when I have my grandparents from Florida come over and stay or any relatives that would otherwise have trouble with stairs can come and visit. Also, when I hurt my leg, I'd have had a hard time going up and down stairs if I had them. One floor living is for me! The most I'd do, is if I ever get my dream home log cabin - I'd have a loft room just because I think they belong in a log home!
