How bad is the traffic in this area? (Picture Included)
Any ideas how bad this area is? I have heard some horror stories about this road, but generally people seem to say it is between "point A" and "point B". Is this inbetween one of those points?

With the exception of Memorial Day, Veterans day & other big cemetary holidays and pumpkin picking season the traffic moves around 55 miles per hour & is very light even in the morning. During those rare holidays or events it can get congested but never like Middle Country Road in Centereach or Smithtown. I make that run everyday & it takes me less than 3 minutes in the morning.

THanks guys, looking at a house up in that area... I suppose i would take that 3 miles of 25 to WFP and then head south either to the LIE or Sunrise Highway. (To get to the majority of my family and or current job)

Anthony-I live north of 25 in Lake Panamoka & I commute to Massapequa or Malverne at least 4Xs a week. I drive a hybrid so I utilize the HOV lane on the LIE but for several years I took Rt25 to Wm Floyd to Sunrise all the way to Massapequa. Its not a bad ride most days , 55-65 minutes.
if you have more specific questions about the area ask away

Middle Country doesn't start getting bad until past CR 21 (Rocky Point Road/Yaphank-Middle Island Road). And once it's by 83...forget it.
Over by WF Parkway is fine.

ITA.. We rarely see anybody when we drive that stretch. PLUS it leads to Briermere, which is a big bonus!

Afraid of the "freaky woods" aren't we?
Lake Panamoka and the development between Rt.25 and BNL are beautiful, lots of pines and trails nearby. I'd love to live there, but I'd need a car. And they dont have Fios yet so I'm staying put. Now that I have Fios I'd never want to give it up!
As far as traffic goes, that stretch never gets backed up. It's always smooth sailing. Everytime I'm on the bus that goes past there (S58) we're always doing at least 60mph.
