Yeah, Charlie Brown's is a pretty bad restaurant. All the "early bird" special crowd has moved down to Florida and North Carolina, and that's who they seem to cater to.
One of the things you've gotta love about Long Island is that bad food doesn't hang around very long. They go the way of the DoDo pretty fast. Either that, or they get put on that Kitchen Nightmares show. In fact, our "bad" food could probably be considered good in most of the country.
lol the majority of restaurants on Kitchen Nightmares were from LI! Made it a point to try and eat at every one featured, and Peters in Babylon is closed now (the episode with the guido guy)

I grew up in Bellmore and ate at the Mixing Bowl after it was on the show...let me say, incredible. I don't know how it was before though. I really enjoyed my meal and although it's a small place, it is nicely decorated. Very romantic ambience too!
lol...am I the only person who actually liked Charlie Browns?
I've eaten at the one in Commack a few times, I always get the Prime Rib, which as long as you bring it to me bloody, you can't really screw it up
