Country music works great. You have to use Garth Brooks though, but be careful as I've heard stories about his music driving people insane or worse, to the point of suicide from even minimal exposure to his music.
LOL, I have to admit I'd probably be one of those driven-to-distraction country music victims! (btw, I don't consider Shania Twain as 'country'... IMO she's 'pop')
But I'd most likely counterattack with my collection of New Age music.
Yes. I do, as does my boss and his other employees. It may be a job requirement - I think maybe he checks the preprogramed station in your car when you pull up for an interview! LOL! We may be the last ones left on LI who do though. The only LI country station was replaced with some hispanic one a few years back. Only station is CT's Country 92.5 now, which you can't get in most of Nassau or points west.
How about the song, Mending Fences, by Restless Heart:
You haven't said a single word to me this morning
Still upset about the fight we had last night
Well life's to short for silence in the hallway
Darling won't you look me in the eye
(CHORUS)
Time has come for mending fences
A little love, will fix things up
I know you care let's stop pretending
We've been cold long enough
So heart to heart
Why don't we start mending fences
We don't have to be so stubborn and heard headed
All those hurtful things we said don't matter now
So how about a hug let's start forgivin'
There's just one way to work this out
(REPEAT CHORUS)
(BRIDGE)
We may not always see things eye to eye
So come a little closer and let's compromise
Yanni will drive the average human being totally insane, within just a few minutes.
Actually I agree. I love New Age music but I can't stand Yanni. Or Enya either.
My taste runs more to David Arkenstone, Tangerine Dream, Tingstad & Rumbel, David Lanz, Kitaro, 2002, Mehdi, Troika, and Mannheim Steamroller (which IMO leans more toward orchestral-pop than New Age but I still like them).
