Yes, well, considering how high NY property taxes are and how we are doing unemployment-wise compared to neighboring states and the fact that housing in LI and Westchester has not gone down much in price, it makes sense.

Note how all the CT towns in the list are in the somewhat cheaper Hartford area........not in Fairfield County (OK one is, Trumbull but it's on the periphery).

Read the criteria: Everywhere with an income over 200% of the state median was excluded. Many places on LI would have been excluded from consideration.

You can keep the Hartford burbs, there just isn't enough to do. Maybe fine for a year or 2. Then it gets old.
