Default Question about Ronkonkoma train to Garden City
Currently, I live about 10-15 minutes from the Ronkonkoma train station. I might be getting a job in Garden City on Zeckendorf Blvd. Is it even possible or feasible to take the train from Ronk to somewhere near Zeckendorf Blvd and walk to work or even catch a bus to Zeckendorf Blvd?

I have absolutely no clue when it comes to buses, trains, and connections. Just trying to see what my options are if I do get the job.

If you can get to Westbury or Mineola by LIRR... then look at this map for more bus routes.... sorry cannot get the full information, but I think this is a start.... M35 on the map looks good from Westbury.

Most of the trains from Ronkonkoma run express in the morning rush hour, so even if they go through the Garden City area, they will very rarely stop. LIRR is not good for commuting intra-island.

After some more research.....

I don't know if this link works.... but I see 3 trains departing between 7 and 8 am that can take you to Mineola from Ronkonkoma in roughly 45 mins....

MTA LIRR - Schedules & Fares

From Mineola your best bet seems like N22, N78 or N79... all of those go to Roosevelt mall. I don't know how long it takes and how frequently the buses ply.

It seems like westbury is more of a pain as it usually needs a transfer.
Please verify the info with LIRR anyway, I just picked this from their website.
