I'm so proud of my hubby, one of his houses was featured in the Southampton Press!
He has been working on this house for nearly two years and now its almost finished. It is an absolute masterpiece and I'm so thrilled for him that it was chosen to be featured in the paper! The article is great, it really describes the vibe of the house. The whole property has such a good aura, there was a house from the 1800's on the property prior to this house and they worked so hard to preserve that beautiful tree in the front yard as well as other plantings. This area of Bridgehampton is so beautiful, its like paradise there. Close to the ocean, right near a beautiful dairy farm, just amazing!

Lovely article, excellent green building. As a preservationist, I have to ask: What became of the 1800's house on the property? Was it moved or razed?

Good question. After getting approval from the Bridgehampton historical society they tore it down. The house itself was for sale & could be moved but there were no buyers. However much of the interior details were sold to a salvage company. The original garage which was probably more of a barn at some point was restored & remains on the property. Most of the original landscaping was preseved & reused on the property. The original house had a twin, which still sits on the property right next door & has been totally restored over the last few years.
