Windermere Point in Moriches (Shirley, Mastic: for sale, house, neighborhood)

Hi All,

With all the posts regarding whether or not Shirley/Mastic is a nice place to live, I would like to pose this question......Is there something wrong with the Moriches area? They are all relatively close and share the same shopping areas.

I specifically like the Windermere Point section (James Hawkins Blvd/Paige Lane) but I see so many homes for sale in that one small section that I'm wondering why so many people want to leave.

Does anyone have any advice/answers?

Moriches is very nice, but you have to accept the fact its in the William Floyd district. Do your research and drive around the district, then decide for yourself. Out of all the areas in the William Floyd district, Moriches is the nicest. Also, be careful not to live too close to the train tracks, as they run just north of this neighborhood you're interested in. Crystal Beach Boulevard is nice too, they have a private launching ramp and a place to sit and relax by the water, I believe.
