I was told by my buyers agent that the listing agent told her that the sellers are really difficult. You need 24 hours notice(understandable) and it must be before 3pm(ok, usually it's after 3pm, but ok.). But they don't always get back to the listing agent to show the house. We've been trying to get in for 3-4 days now.

Maybe they currently have renters in it and they aren't easy to schedule visits with.

Good point. Luckily we just got an accepted offer on another house that we were backups on. So this situation is null as of now.

As for the noise, different things bother different people....I'm gonna assume you're not a light sleeper or high strung individual if you are even considering buying that close to the tracks. Personally, noise like that doesn't bother me at all....I could sleep under a 747 taking off, and I enjoy the sound of a train rumbling past like SamTheCatRocks...but some people are psychotic about the slightest aural disturbance.

Saw that one....I noticed that after they realized it, they still weren't willing to actually try it. I can't say I blame them either.
