Default Newsdays new web format

Anybody check out the new Newsday website this morning? I don't care for it too much.

If they want to improve the site find a new host; I find the site is really slow.

I don't like it either. Links don't work and its hard to find anything. I'm not sure why they changed it. It was nice to have that menu on the left side to choose whatever section you wanted.

I like the windows with the breaking news stories where you can scroll down...but who exactly thought a black background was a good idea?

I agree with the site being slow...its the slowest of all news sites that I log on to.

It's terrible! I'm trying to read the story about the guy from Patchouge who gave Al Qaeda info on the LIRR.

Note to Al Qaeda - please stay away from the Ronkonkoma line!

Maybe he was trying to entertain them on how the LIRR works, or doesn't.

Or training them on "how not to run a railroad line"

Awful. We haven't used the frontpage site for ages and just bookmarked the specific sports-franchise pages that we're interested in, but of course they are now changed as well -- and definitely not for the better.

Bye-bye, Newsday bookmarks!

We'll just stick with cnn.com from now on and as for sports teams pages, their bloggers.

None of the stories would load for about 3 hours last night. They seem ok today.

The writing hasn't gotten any better :-)
