Will there be a new Walgreens in Carle Place/Westbury?
I'm talking about the construction going on Old Country Road across from Source Mall area (believe it's near Radio Shack...) Someone mentioned that to me (They say... a couple of weeks ago and I was just curious.

Too bad they cant come in the village, I'd much rather have Walgreens than Rite-Aid.
Now just watch one of the CVS's (either the one further east on Old Country or the one on Post) will move next to the Walgreens.
This is what happened with the Walgreens that opened on the SW corner of Jericho & Roslyn Rd.
CVS decided to move from their perfectly good location near Jericho & Jay Ct, knocking down the diner and gas station that used to be on the SE corner of Jericho & Roslyn.
Now the folks who live at the Fairhaven Apts in that area (as well as others) lost their neighborhood store and have to travel further.

That corner of Ellison Ave and Old Country road is going to have a Walgreens. I know the owners of the property.

Ha, what isn't going to be a Walgreens?
They're planning to build three of them that I know of by me: one in Medford on 112 just north of Horseblock, one in Patchogue at the Waverly Avenue and Main Street intersection, and one in Shirley (where I'm not sure).

According to the Census Bureau's online address search function, Ellison Avenue is in the Village of Westbury. |
