Default National City Mortgage a.k.a PNC Bank

Hi guys,
Can you please give me the good and bad for using this lender for first time FHA loan ?
They came as highly recommended to me for rates and more importantly for moving quickly compared to the bigger players like wells fargo an Citi etc.

TIA.

I don't know anything about that bank. I know this; if you read all the documents and have a firm idea of what you want and are told that you are getting - then carefully read it. I read mine with a book of post-its. I got my lender on the phone, and I walked through every item that I found confusing. Not only did I use an online lender that discounted the price of the loan a tremendous amount, but I minimized a number of surprises.

I got what I paid for, which means I ended up doing more work that is normally the case.

PNC is a large, well respected bank in NJ, PA and some other states. According to Wikipedia, they're the 5th largest bank in the US by deposits. They're not a fly by night outfit. I can't tell you if they're a good mortgage lender, though I know quite a few people who have done business with them in other capacities and been very satisfied.

PNC is not very good with customer service. However if you always make your payments on time and never waiver from the payment amount they will be fine. Other than that they hire the typical idiot to run their customer service lines.

National City Mortgage went out of the business. Most of their loan officers are now working for Continental Home Loans.

PNC is nothing but a pile of crooks. In particular, with foreclosures of mortgages in the state of Florida. To the point where their legal representatives, the offices of Stern in Ft Lauderdale are now in court because of presenting fraudulent documentation to support the claims in the process of foreclosing properties. If you wish to inquire further, please visit Florida Foreclosure Attorney | Real Estate Attorney | Oppenheim Law where you will find blogs containing the certainty of my claim.
