Except that they're in East Massapequa ("Massapequa, NY 11758" mailing address), right?
Don't forget Mr. Greenspan, that the 11758 zip code also encompasses part of the Hamlet of Plainedge -- or as we locals called our section south of the SSP between 107 and Broadway: NORTH Massapequa, which is west or Massapequa Park which is west of East Massapequa; and no where near the water.
I understand that this is not correct based upon the maps, but I know of a lot of Italian and Jewish families in that area who do NOT want anyone thinking they are in EAST Massapequa (aka almost Amityville.)
Massapequa is a very nice town, but not upscale. The homes on the water are very nice, but if you were looking for an upscale town, I wouldn't put Massapequa on the list. It's a solid working middle class area. Also, you need to watch out for parts in the Amityville school district...not good at all.
There are Jews in Massapequa...but there are Jews in many towns on LI. If you are looking for a very Jewish area, there are much better choices (ie: Hewlett, Roslyn, Great Neck, Jericho) that are also quite upscale.
The OP is moving to Massapequa; someone else injected the 'U' word into the thread

Depending on where they are located, places in the Hamlet of Plainedge have a "Massapequa, NY 11758", "Levittown, NY 11756", "Bethpage, NY 11714", "Seaford, NY 11783" and "Farmingdale, NY 11735" mailing address.

Again pretty standard working class Nassau ...with boats.

Bay drive, Club Drive, Riviera, granted its not exactly Old Brookville, Sands Point, Oyster Bay cove, etc, and while most of the general Massapequa area is middle class, its a bit more than that in some of those areas.

I'm learning Walter...I actually had Hamlet of Plainedge! (1 small step for the Hamlet challenged...)

yea, most are working class (like my father) but most all own businesses and just sit on thier asses and rake in ton of dough! my neighbor on florence is asking 1.7 million for his house. is it worth it? probably. will he get it? probably not. and you know owning a boat requires plenty of money. your just dumping so much money into it that you never, ever recover it. thank God I got rid of my boat when I loved. no more troubles.
