That's because most people are crappy drivers or are lax I have been guilty. I would say th percentage of people who break a traffic law per day is in the high 80 percentile.

yeah now that I've seen a ton more, they seem to go off "just in case" a lot of times. No idea why flashes go off, but the camera function should still be when you cross the line only.

If you spend this much time trying to figure out how to beat a yellow light, I'm guessing that you're 11 cans short of a 12 pack, just sayin'

I've heard there is a site where you can view your car's license plate being captured by the red light camera - ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS? ANY TRUTH TO THIS? THANKS

Ha... Actually my wife received one of these yesterday. The site is drivesafelyinnassau.com and you can view the images as well as a video of your action.. The quality is quite good

some of the accidents causing T-bone situations are ridiculous. I mean how late are you crossing the red light that the other car has already had their green and are already halfway through the intersection so far that you actually t-bone them? There's already a grace period of a second or two as I've witnessed... if you get a red light ticket these days fully knowing they're out there, you deserve it.

its just not cameras, many of them have video capabilties as well to add to the revenue money making machine

My fav is when the LI bus stops on the GREEN light bc it will turn red any moment
