West Islip vs. Lindenhurst
Just wanted to get some opinions on which area is nicer: West Islip or Lindenhurst (e.g. which of these two towns has better schools, better quality of life, less crime, cleaner, nicer, etc). Thanks in advance for your input!

My sister rents a house in Lindenhurst. I've been through the different areas and it all seems nice. I think both WI and Lindenhurst are nice. My husband grew up in WI, so I asked his opinion, and he said WI is nicer. I know he's biased, but he doesn't particularly like WI a whole lot though.

Theres really no contest ...WI.
I do like Lindenhurst over West and North Babylon though.

I'd rather live in Lindenhurst....but West Islip has more soccer mom street cred.

West Islip is much nicer, better maintained. Lindenhurst is a little more run down and older looking neighborhoods. WI schools are higher performing than Lindenhurst.

As a Babylon Resident I'd go Lindenhurst or W Babylon over W Islip. W Islip has better scoring schools but I prefer the charcter of Lindy. Venetian Shores, The Village along Wellwood ave, etc.
