Default Hempstead vs Uniondale?

What are the main differences between both and where would you rather live?

Frankly, neither, but Uniondale isn't as bad as Hempstead.

I believe there are less gun shots in Uniondale then Hempstead. Not kidding. A lot of fighting in Hempstead High School.

I wouldn't recommend either. You'd want to move somewhere with good schools and that is safe. Although West hempstead is nice along with south hempstead which would be the best because many homes there have rockville centre schools

Hempstead sucks worse because of illegal aliens and their gangs.

I don't think Uniondale is nearly as bad as it is made out to be. (I work in the area and am familiar with the community). Hempstead, on the other hand, I wouldn't recommend.

I would go with Uniondale, while it has its share of problems as well, the schools are quite a bit better than Hempstead, less crime, and poverty.

Definately Uniondale.. but if your looking in Hempstead check out Surrey Lane off Hempstead Turnpike.. really nice Tudors over there.
