It could be a lot worse, johninwestbury! Humid? You want humid? Try Florida! Yecch! Not seeing the sun? You want not seeing the sun? Try states in New England like Vermont where you may not see the sun for several days in a row in the winter regularly.
I think our summer has not been that bad at all, except for the extra rainy days in June. I remember much hotter and more humid summers with no break in the heat and humidity for weeks on end.
PS: have a checkup. Maybe you have a thyroid condition. As for vitamin D, the sun is not the best source of it, no matter how sunny it is outside. Food and vitamin supplements are.

I did mention in my post that I did not write it to offend anyone. It is simply a joke. If he is offended by it and lets me know I will gladly delete it.

Yeah its pretty offensive. As far as the weather linking to health, it's a proven fact weather can effect ones health. Alot of other ppl I've spoken to are feeling lousy as well.
When the air dry and the skies clear I feel great, but when its humid I feel lousy. The climate is changing, it really is sad how many of you are in denial.
It's why the tick problem is worse every year.
Air quality plays a huge role in how we feel. Long Island's air quality is getting worse, because of higher pollution from traffic. In addition, the profile of humid air masses traps pollutants near the ground.
More garbage in the air means less oxygen to our lungs, which makes one feel lousy.
Of course when you have less energy you exercise less, and gain weight. Because its so humid and uncomfortable outside, I do less walking and hiking.
I may have to get an indoor treadmill just to replace it.
I'm just saying the pattern is unhealthy. Yes it has been a cool summer, but it has been cloudier and more humid than normal as well. Just look at all the rainfall records that were broken. It doesnt help that we get these stalled fronts in winter too, now. However last winter was better than the last, so hopefully we can have a cold, crisp, winter.

Have you ever broken or injured anything? If so, you'd know that the weather definitely affects you! I call my aches in the humid weather my 'build in barometer'
I've had a lot more pain in my wrist, knee and shoulder this year than I can remember. Maybe it's just getting older - but these were all injured in accidents and have been sensitive to stormy weather ever since.

It seems there are more and more 'Air Quality Alert' days than I remember too. There's a site that keeps track and lets you know when the air quality is especially bad. I get notifications from them on bad air days.

I believe in climate change. Not a myth to me.

Do you have allergies? Weather, air quality, pollen, etc., can make people with allergies miserable.

John, you might want to read the book "The Secret". You need to look at things in a more positive way. If you do, you'll be surprised how much better your health will seem

I know the weather can affect ailments a person has, but every single day? I believe exercising and eating healthy makes that a lot better. I've gotten some bad injuries playing Ice hockey growing up, but since I exercise, I find they bother me less.

Yeah, if you broke something that never healed right, it will bother you just about every humid day. No amount of exercise or healthy eating will change that.

Well when the weather is bad for days on end you're gonna feel lousy most of the time. I did feel great last Friday and Saturday because the air was excellent.
I exercise as well, usually walking outdoors, but when its humid it's too uncomfortable, which is why I may need to find another way to exercise. Yes I can walk in a mall but I generally like to walk fast and ppl get in my way.
