I'm from CT. It used to be a really small and run-down park but my sister took my nephews there last month and said they had a really great time!!! Lots of recent updates.
Have fun!

It's really such a shame. We were relocated back in 2004 and prior to that SS was great. Some lines to deal with-nothing major. My DS worked there and had a great time.
What is it turning into Jones Beach-When I visited in 2005 and went to Jones Beach I couldn't believe there where bums sleeping on benches under the portico's. That really brought me back to reality.
But I still have found remembrance's of West End 2 and field 6!
Now I'm in the Midwest and really miss the beach!

Field 6 is turning into a nightmare! I always enjoyed going there but I need to re-think my location.

Jones Beach is like going to a beach in another country. I cant stand it anymore, so I dont go there anymore.

Wow guys-I guess times really change things. After we were married and later bought a house in Commack we would always go to Robert Moses-if memory serves me right-Democrat Point ?-How is that now a days?? Better than Jones Beach??
We still miss LI our family is still there but not our kids-what a heart wrencher! My DH although does not miss 2 1/2 hours into the city.

Robert Moses is still much nicer than Jones Beach, especially Field 5 and by the lighthouse. JB is one of the dirtiest beaches on LI. Funny how Robert Moses didn't want Jones Beach to become like a city beach but thats exactly what it's become. I guess he didn't count on the riff-raff getting cars.
