I believe it. It is much easier to blame your unpopularity on your race rather than to admit to yourself that you are just bad at what you do and people do not like you for who you are.
I could care less what race he is. If he did a good job, then I'd vote for him again. If he stunk up the joint like he has been, he won't get my vote. If he was white, asian, european, or martian, it wouldn't matter. I'm not going to vote for him.
I don't understand why every Black politician that has bad poll ratings has to blame it on their race. I mean did it ever occur to them that maybe they are not doing a good job? Maybe if they looked at the needs of the community at large and not just their people they would be more popular. This is especially obvious with Gov. Paterson who cut the state budget in all areas except <wait for it> welfare and minority aid. I mean he practically totally eliminated the state parks budget but yet at the same time he increases welfare spending by 25%, I mean come on.

How true. it's too easy to pull the race card in Today's world. But, I think it'll be a long time before things change.
Funny how no one ever commented on the # of people who voted for Obama just because he's black. Hmmmm......
