Default Cablevision 702

Does anyone have a problem where channel 702 (CBS-HD) on Cablevision freezes from time to time. This is the only channel we have a problem with it (occurred today during the Jets Game), every other channel works fine including regular CBS-2. Cablevision says everything is fine, then they send someone out during the week when the problem doesn't exist. It then doesn't get fixed since its working fine weekdays.

I notice this mostly during football and 60 minutes. Any suggestions? We are in Huntington Station.

Yeah, I suggest you switch to Fios....I had the same problems and last year it was so bad I could not watch the Super Bowl. I have since switched to Fios and have ZERO complaints. Far superior product.

I get that problem with hgtv, and the sci-fi channel all the time. CV told me it was the broadcaster. If it was the broadcaster, my friends with Fios, and directv would have the problem also, but dont. I am getting tired of CV's declining service, and pic Quality. No fois for me in Brookhaven, i might have to go w/ Directv.

Cable 700 series channels suck !!
It makes you feel stupid with the remote trying to change channels. Not to mention there is no "high" in "high definition". I bet Fios channel 02 should look better than Cable 702.

Would love to go to Fios, but the price would be just too much. I was told I'd need an HD box in every room I wanted HD in (expected of course) and then a SEPARATE box in rooms I don't currently have any box in (rooms that I simply run a basic cable line from the wall, namely my bathrooms and a laundry room)

CV will be moving to that in the near future.

Just echoing the many responses in here, I had the same problem with MANY CV channels, they never could fix it, and I switched to FIOS and have never had the problem again.

There were 5 verizon trucks on my street in 1 day doing FIOS installs last week!

Even after paying for the boxes, it will probably still be cheaper than what you're paying for CV if you're not on a promotional plan.

I have 2 HD DVR's, 1 standard box, every movie channel, pretty much the whole she-bang, internet, phone... I pay a total of right around $140. My CV bill for less channels and crappy reception was about $40 more.

Are you in brookhaven? If so you are f$%K'd. TOB has blocked VZ for the video franchise many times. VZ wont finish wiring up Brookhaven until they get the approval from TOB.
