Any of you use insect repellent spraying companies for your yard? How much do they charge? I use a company that claims to use organic things ( like garlic oil, mint oil etc). Can you do this yourself?

Be careful when companies say they only use organic. The only organic things I know of go out of the atmosphere in 2-3 days ; many companies spike the tanks with pesticides.

It depends on the size of your property and what they are using. Organics do cost more and you would need to do it more often than pesticide. Some pesticides are better than others. Also depending on where you are and what they are suing, neighbours need to be notified that your property is being sprayed. If you buy the material in a big box store ; you should flag your property.

I just moved into a new house and the previous owners used a company called Earthcare - the guy quoted me $90 per spray and $76 if I prepay the season ahead of time. I haven't went through with it yet though.

I use the same because the previous owners were using it. I paid 350$ for the entire season. I am wondering if its worth it. I found a product called Mosquito Barrier ( Mosquito Repellent | Tick Repellent | Natural Mosquito Control by Mosquito Barrier ) and I am wondering if I should start spraying myself if its easy enough.
