Then she decides "oh crap, they will think I'm a ho"...um maybe. In this day and age and reading from this thread, sex has become very casual to both men and women and on this night she casually had sex with 4 or 5 guys. They only had sex with one...are they all kind of nasty...probably, but should they go to jail for it...no. What she did was illegal so, yes, she should be suspended from school! I don't know about prosecution though. I think she is mortified right now and probably learned her lesson.
Actually one guy did try to file drunk rape charges once. If I remember correctly he was LITERALLY laughed out of the police station. Supposedly he got drunk, and was taken advantage of, and tried to file charges after the encounter. None of his charges were taken serious from the outset.

Twisted motive behind rape story
The NY Post is a tabloid, at best. This, and most of its articles, are based on speculation. This theory of a 'twisted motive' is completely unobjective.

Again, there are too many holes still in this story. It seems as though all parties involved, as well as the police and Hofstra University officials are hiding facts from the public.

what's not adding up? The only story with holes was the one this piece of garbage tried to tell the cops.

I'm curious, are you a woman? I only ask because it seems as if you find it unbelievable that she could have lied about everything. Why? Perhaps you know someone personally who has been raped and you know that there are a lot of circumstances that surround a rape and a womans actions afterward. I appreciate that you want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I don't think it would have been any sweat off the back of the cops to lock these kids up for a rape. I do believe she was in a position with her boyfriend that she was afraid. Maybe there was domestic violence in their past. Who knows why she said that to him, but it is pretty clear that she said it and that the rape never took place.

You know Al is only around when it's white on black I can't figure out why when there is a black victim(homicide, rape, assault) it's ok as along as it a black perpetrator. Funny I never saw him at one of my crime scenes when the victim was white and the perp. was black The only way I would take him serious if he started to denounce and protest all crimes regardless of color. But this is the real world.......

No need to start more rumors( I know that is not your intent). She could just be a 18 girl that did something she regretted, and tried to lie her way out of it. She was conformed with an upset boyfriend looking for her after she disappeared from a part only to show up looking like she just finished having sex.

She was only going out with her boyfriend for a few weeks. I hope there was not a past a domestic violence in that time.

Whether people like it or not, the law is clear.

If a woman is drunk or on drugs to the point where she is incapable of consenting to sex, that is deemed rape if she files charges. This is the LAW. Now, I know this puts an extra burden on men, but it's one we have to live with. The burden basically is that you need to make sure that girl is not totally blitzed before having sex with her.

Is there a double standard in the application of the law? Sure. Is it overly protective of women? Maybe. But, the point of the law is to ensure that men don't take advantage of a woman in a helpless situation. I think it's a good law.

Did anyone read about the rape of that drunk woman in a nightclub? She was blitzed and alone and he basically carried her out..put her in a cab...and had sex with her at home. She was dumb to get drunk...but she was still raped...make no mistake about it.

Why are we bring Al Sharpton into this? He has nothing to do with it.

It's a sad story that I hope others can learn from, but men and women.

What of men that are too drunk to consent, or just as drunk as the woman?

Or worst yet, what if a man is drunk and the woman gets pregnant?
